- CRISPR/Cas9 Gene Editing: Currently, CRISPR/Cas9 is the mostly used system to generate gene editing mouse. We accept ready-to-be injected reagent to generate KO, KI, point mutation and conditional KO mouse strain.
- Classic Transgenic Projects: MES core also injects DNA made by classic transgenic method, including plasmid DNA or BAC DNA.
- Double Mutation Mice Generation: Some investigators may generate gene editing mouse line from established mutant mouse. In this case, embryos could be generated by in vitro fertilization. And following microinjection helps to create double mutations mouse lines.
- Mouse ES cell injection: MES core injects ES cells for investigators who have either generated targeted clones in their lab or obtained from another source. We accept ready-to –be injected ES cells.
- Mouse strain re-covery: Cryo-recovery services allow the worldwide import and recovery of mouse lines from frozen embryos or sperm. MES has the capability of both shipping and receiving cryopreserved embryos and sperm. Frozen material received from either outside the institution or maintained by MES can be thawed and surgically transferred into recipient females at any time to recover the line. Cryo-recovery is also a method to re-derive infected mouse lines
- Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection: This service, known as ICSI, allows to recover mouse line from sperm with very low motility.
- Mouse strain Cryopreservation: MES core freezes sperm/embryos from not in use mouse lines for stable, long-term storage in liquid nitrogen. It is a safe method for preserving viable pre-implantation embryos or sperm that can be easily recovered at a future date to revive the line.
- Long term storage of frozen germplasm: MES lab accepts sperm and embryo which were either frozen in our lab or imported from other institutes, and store them in the liquid nitrogen for long term
